The VTS also collects and records data to support ABP, as the Statutory Harbour Authority, in maintaining emergency procedures/ contingency plans and reporting and investigating oil pollution incidents. It complies with the IALA VTS Guidelines, all applicable IMO conventions, including SOLAS Chapter V, Regulation 8-2, and takes account of the Port Marine Safety Code.

ABP Connect is to get two Liebherr RTG's of 8-wheel configuration, stacking oneover-five containers high and spanning seven containers plus a truck lane. S.W.L is 40.6 Tonnes under a telescopic spreader.
