Uruguay's National Ports Administration (ANP) has awarded a dredging contract to Jan De Nul worth US$6.63m.
The work, which will take place in the port of Montevideo, commenced at the end of January and is scheduled for completion by August 2006.
It involves extracting 5m cu m of sediment the length of the port's 34.5 km access channel to re-establish a draught of 11.5m.
