Cosco US “fully recovered” post cyber attack
Cosco Shipping Lines’ Americas network is fully operational following a cyber attack, the company has said.
In a Facebook statement on 30 July, Cosco Shipping Lines said its “network applications in the Americas have been fully recovered.” The statement follows its confirmation last week that its Long Beach customer service centre (COSAG) has been “adversely affected” following a cyber attack on its US operations.
“All communication channels including telephone, email, and electronic data exchange have been restored,” said the company, which previously said that its Pacific Container Terminal (PCT) at Long Beach remained unaffected throughout the operational downtime.
Global networks are “safe and stable” and global business operations are “steady and orderly,” it stated.
Service response is increasing and Cosco is now able to work at full capacity to process service requests, while service response is expected to be back on track this week.
