The new equipment will provide the Terminal with the capacity to operate larger container vessels (up to 14.000 TEU, Super Post Panamax), while contributing enormously to the sustainability and improvement of the efficiency of port operations and the quality of service provided to customers. PACECO GROUP (Mitsui E&S Machinery, PACECO Corp. and PACECO MOMENTUM) has recently delivered four highly efficient and environmentally friendly STS Portainer® cranes that were designed and manufactured under the manufacturer’s usual strict QC criteria. The state-of-the art cranes were manufactured at Mitsui E&S Machinery Oita (Japan) facilities. They have been delivered fully erected to Yilport Liscont Container Terminal (Portugal). The new cranes will allow a range of 22 rows of containers on board of the vessels and are designed to operate the Ultra-Large Container Ships, also known as Super Post Panamax, and included in the main intercontinental maritime routes, as well as the latest generation ships.

On arrival at the Liscont Terminal, a large technical and service team from PACECO MOMENTUM and Mitsui E&S Machinery took care of the unloading operations of the four cranes, as well as of the jack-up operation and electrical commissioning.
