Join us at Coastlink 2020 for a 2-day event focussed on ‘Building Connectivity between short sea shipping and intermodal networks’. This year Coastlink will be hosted at the Port of Antwerp on 25 & 26 November, and Chaired by Nick Lambert of NLA International Ltd. The 2-day event will consist of 1.5 days of conference followed by a Technical Visit at the Port of Antwerp.
As Europe’s second largest seaport, the Port of Antwerp have an ambitious growth strategy for short sea shipping. Their ambitions align with the European Green deal in terms of the growing focus on sustainable transport in the supply chain, and a drive to reduce CO2 emissions by a greater utilisation of the transport network away from road haulage. Dries Van Gheluwe, Key Account Manager Shortsea Shipping at the Port of Antwerp, recently commented ‘By connecting as many European destinations as possible by short sea, rail and barge, we offer our customers an end to end alternative’.
The Conference will offer delegates insightful presentations from industry stakeholders and engaging panel discussions. The panel discussions will look to drive debate on matters affecting the sector and new emerging opportunities. Delegates can take advantage of networking time with speakers from Unifeeder, Royal Haskoning DHV Ocean Shipping Consultants, Fast Group Belgium, Port of Tyne, Port of Zeebrugge and BIMCO – offering the chance to build on business relationships for the future.
