Millie Pitts

Millicent Wallace Pitts was a thirty-year operating executive in the chemicals/materials industries. She holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and has been a registered Civil Mediator in the State of Georgia doing pro-bono mediation for low-income individuals, a significant service saving Chatham County, Georgia tens of thousands of dollars while unclogging court dockets. During 2011-13 she was a Board member/officer of the governing body of an 8700-person coastal Georgia community, an elected, quasi-city council position. Currently she is Executive Director of a 501c3, the Ocean Exchange, an organization that supports sustainability of oceans, coastal systems, and important estuaries like the Chesapeake Bay as well as supports sustainable shipping and logistics.
