Myanmar’s AWPT invests in new equipment

The operator of Myanmar’s Asia World Port Terminal (AWPT) has stated that the port’s recent investment in 14 new pieces of equipment “signals” the facility’s robust confidence in Myanmar’s overall macroeconomic development and its government’s “strong policies”, as well as the future of the country’s economy.

The investment is made up of nine rubber-tyred gantry cranes, two reachstackers and two empty container handlers from SANY, as well as a mobile harbour crane from Konecranes Gottwald Photo: Konecranes
