Port greening to be discussed

Day one to focus on a wide range of environmental and sustainability topics.

A wide range of presentations will be delivered by international experts at the opening day of Green Port Congress America.

Discussion around climate change and its effect on the ports and shipping industry will be followed by discussions on how logistics, ports and ship operators can work to improve the environmental credentials of the supply chain.

Concurrent streams will follow the first networking lunch and exhibition session and will look at how ports can work with their community to improve their sustainability. The parallel session will look at how technology and methods are being implemented to ensure ports better understand the impact of emissions.

One of the final concurrent sessions will continue the emissions theme and will help delegates understand how they can green their landside operations. At the same time delegates can here from experts in the sustainable improvements to dredging.

The opening day will conclude with a Gala Dinner, a further networking opportunity for those attending.
