Yilport supports innovation contest
Global port operator Yilport is backing a Port Innovation Contest to encourage solutions to the current challenges facing the industry.
Claiming to be the first innovation contest in the Turkish port industry, the competition is funded by donations from parent group Yildirim Holding and Yilport and managed by Garip and Zeycan Yildirim Foundation.
Individuals or groups of undergraduates, graduates, or doctoral students at universities can submit their projects to the “Game Changer Port Innovation Contest”.
The themes of the contest are: productivity and optimisation; safety, human, security; big data, blockchain, IoT; environment, green port; automation; port infrastructure; port-city integration; and artificial intelligence.
The prize for first place is E7,500; second place will be awarded E5,000 and third place E2,500. Honourable mentions will receive E1,000. There is no fee to enter the contest.
