Welsh port regeneration

The sites on Longships Road in the ABP Business Park comprise approximately 13 acres and are available as a whole or in part.

Helen Thomas, ABP’s head of property for Wales & short sea ports said that Cardiff’s port already supports 2,600 jobs nationally, contributing around £180 million to the economy each year.

“We believe the development of these sites can be a further catalyst for investment and creating new jobs in what is now the fastest growing capital city in Europe,” she said.

The sites benefit from direct access to sea routes and there is a direct rail link which can be extended into ABP Business Park to enable movement of freight via the national rail network. Established buinesses at the park include Tarmac, Bob Martin and Valero. 

The sites are part of a national initiative by ABP which will see it release more than 1,000 acres to support the UK’s supply chain, manufacturing and renewable energy sectors.

Cushman & Wakefield and CBRE are advising ABP on the development.
