Port of Albany invites wharf upgrade bids

The Port of Albany has announced a request for sealed proposals from qualified vendors for the upcoming wharf upgrades at its terminal located on Smith Boulevard, Albany.

The ‘RFP#2025-05 Wharf Upgrades’ project focuses on upgrading the on-dock rail system and reinforcing the surrounding wharf deck infrastructure.

The scope of work includes rehabilitating approximately 1,160 linear feet (354 metres) of wharf and replacing around 930 linear feet (283 metres) of rail track. Detailed engineering reports, contract drawings and additional project information are available on the port’s website to guide prospective bidders.

The port aims to enhance operational efficiency, improve service quality, reduce support costs and drive economic growth in the region through this upgrade. The contract will be awarded to the most responsible vendor submitting the lowest bid.

All sealed proposals must be submitted to the Port of Albany Administrative offices at 106 Smith Boulevard, Albany, New York, 12202.
