Genova to recover 2007 traffic levels by 2012

Studies carried out by Ocean Shipping Consultants suggest that it will not be until 2012 at the earliest that Genova Port will be able to return to traffic levels last seen in 2007.

Only then will the port have the possibility to increase its market share, although the growth window will only open for a very short time. Crucial to the development will be the entry into operation of the sixth module at Voltri, which is the only deep water option left in the region.
