The ship was handled at the ECT Delta Terminal, the largest container-handling facility in Rotterdam. In recent years, ECT has invested heavily in the efficient handling of mega ships.

The Daniela and her sister ships, all of which are operated by the Swiss shipping line MSC, are among the largest container ships in the world. Rotterdam is one of the few ports in Europe where ships of this magnitude can be fully loaded.
