Kaliningrad hub project gathers steam
The Russian enclave of Kaliningrad in the Baltic is to go ahead with construction of a new port at Baltiijsk.
The facility will be able to handle 6m teu annually, but will cost $3.1bn to implement. It will be located at either Primorskaya Bay or at Kaliningrad Bay. APM Terminals is said to be interested after environmental approval had been received.
