Algeciras unions strike deal with Maersk

After 30 months of negotiation, trade unions at the Port of Algeciras have finally agreed to a new collective bargaining agreement.

The deal was struck directly with APM Terminals, without input from the port authority, which recently ended its majority participation in the port labour company. Maersk, for its part, has guaranteed at least 2m container moves annually over the next 10 years.
