Ferrovial/Cyes scoop Prat contract

Under the tender points scoring system, 70% of the overall assessment related to technical competence and only 30% to the financial aspect.

The winning consortium offered to undertake the work for ¢63m ($93.7m).

One third of the 1,500 m quay line of the new El Prat Quay collapsed at the start of 2007, putting the entire project back by two years. The project is now expected to be fully finished in 2010.
