Extra 1.2 million TEU capacity for Santos

The proposed new Brasil Terminal Portuá rio (BTP), which is to be built in the port of Santos, will move 1.2m teu/year, the equivalent of 75% of throughput reported at the port in 2006. Europe Terminal, the biggest shareholder in the project, says the facilities will be built on the former Lixã o da Alemoa site.
