CPP to buy Virginia port assets

US company CenterPoint Properties, which is heavily involved in property and infrastructure investment, has put forward an offer to acquire the port activities of Virginia Port Authority, which owns Virginia International Terminals that in turn operates Norfolk International Terminal, Portsmouth Marine Terminal and Newport News Marine Terminal, in addition to the Intermodal Virginia Inland Port at Front Royal.
