American Association of Port Authorities in Freight Stakeholders Coalition
The Freight Stakeholders Coalition, a group made up the American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA) and shipper and surface transport trade associations in the US, is seeking a unified approach to Federal transport funding.
In a mid-September Washington, DC conference, Coalition members urged that legislators create a Freight Fund and a high level Freight Office within the US Department of Transportation, so that infrastructure constraints do not choke US economic growth.
The US Congress is now discussing a new funding bill for surface transport.
