P&ONL facilitates Rotterdams mating game

Every fortnight vessels of P& O Nedlloyds container fleet take fresh seawater from the Atlantic to Rotterdam in their ballast tanks. While the ship is worked at the terminal, a small tanker comes alongside and the water is pumped aboard from the bigger ships tanks. The tanker sails to Rotterdams zoo where the seawater is used for refreshing the water in the Oceanium, home of the zoos fish, sharks, coral, penguins, etc.
