Russia caves in to anti-monopoly order

The Ministry had been accused of approving a list of port fees, which would have allowed the State-owned Rosmorport to retain control of pilotage fees and environmental levies. No other port services operator would have been allowed in this market.

Also under scrutiny were the activities of state-owned port companies when they were competing with private-sector companies in the same ports.

However, all charges were withdrawn on February 1 following the decision by the Ministry to voluntarily make appropriate changes.
