International ports confirm commitment to cluster study

PD Ports’ Teesport, Nam Ports of Namibia, New Zealand’s Port Nelson and the Port Authority of Peru will be working under the leadership of Valencia in the Port Cluster Governance Council (PCGC).

The PCGC aims to build a transferable model based on Best in Class benchmarking that when implemented will allow global port controllers to successfully bring together all port cluster stakeholders to raise quality levels, maximize profit and movement of container cargo.

This program of search, learn and benchmark has been developed by the Global Maritime Logistics Council of the Global Institute of Logistics, a think tank which goal is to promote the knowledge and the collaboration between all the agents of the logistics and maritime chain to increase the efficiency and the competitiveness of the logistics chain.
