Kiel goes to greater lengths

The opening of Kiel’s Schwedenkai terminal marks the beginning of a new era according to the port – underscoring the point with the new architectural terminal building which is to be a landmark for the city.

Coinciding with the opening, Stena Line is introducing a much bigger generation of ships on to its Kiel-Gothenburg route, including the Stena Germanica, one of the longest ferry ships in the world. As a result cargo volume is expected to more than double to over 80,000 units.
