New AGVs replace first-generation vehicles

Gottwald is supplying 22 automated guided vehicles (AGVs) to Europe Container Terminals (ECT) in Rotterdam, a long-term customer.

Gottwald’s type CT 60 AGVs are to replace the first-generation container transporters which have been in operation around the clock as part of the AGV fleet at the customer’s facility since the early 1990s. The new AGVs are equipped with fuel-saving diesel-electric drives and comply with the European EuroMot IIIB exhaust gas standard that has been in force since 2011.
