Auckland concept drawings unveiled

A long-term and high-level strategic view of how the Auckland seaport could develop in five-year increments through to 2055 has been released by Ports of Auckland in conjunction with Waterfront Auckland.

Berthing areas (shown in orange) at Auckland will significantly increase over the next 44 years

Part of the draft Waterfront Plan, the updated concept drawings aim to recognise the strategic role the port plays in the economy of the city and how the success of the region and New Zealand depends to some degree on its ability to efficiently handle imports and exports.
