Rotterdam rides to Vietnams rescue
Rotterdam’s Port Authority has signed a declaration of intent with Vietnam’s national shipping company, Vinalines, to cooperate for the development of ports in Vietnam.
“This concerns the Van Phong International Transhipment Hub port in the south of Vietnam in particular,” the Dutch port said in a statement.
Vinalines has also said it will work with Japan-based Molnykit Corp on Hai Phong International Port. The two plan to start building the first two harbours of Hai Phong International Port in the first quarter of 2012. Total investment capital is put at YEN30bn ($389m).
