Spanish ports stats labelled ‘fictitious’

José Llorca, head of Spains National Ports Authority, has claimed that while it has received positive financial results from its various ports over the last few years, some of these were ‘fictitious’.

He added that if a Spanish port had been allocated European Union investment for an infrastructure work, but undertaking the work would result in that port having to assume a level of debt that it cannot service, the project would be cancelled.
