Green order success for Hyster
Following the successful introduction of two new Hyster empty container handlers at the Port of Antwerp, port and logistics expert, Zuidnatie, has just invested in seven new low emission Hyster forklift trucks for its operations.
The two new Hyster H22-12EC empty container handlers have a Tier 4i/Stage IIIB compliant Cummins QSB 6.7 engine and feature fuel optimisation developments designed to reduce fuel consumption such as cooling on demand, auto-speed hydraulics, RPM management and alternate engine idle speed.
The 16 tonne capacity Hyster forklift trucks have the same engine and similar fuel saving technologies incorporating Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) technology – operators can select either HiP high performance or ECO-eLo fuel efficiency mode for operation.
Maximum power is only delivered when it is really needed because load sensing hydraulics detect the load weight meaning that the trucks are incredibly fuel efficient.
Because the Hyster equipment is so green, it has low operating costs – an attractive prospect for Zuidnatie and one that created a second order for Hyster equipment.
Local Hyster distribution partner, Barloworld Handling, will handle maintenance and aftercare for the new trucks.
