New ICT for Dover
The UKs Port of Dover has awarded a five year contract to Durham based business and IT consultancy, Waterstons Ltd, to provide Europe’s busiest port with its consultancy services.
Waterstons Ltd will provide the port’s ICT department with tailored IT consultancy services as it has done in previous years with other major transport hubs including PD Ports, The Port of Tyne and Newcastle International Airport.
Alistair McLeod, director, Waterstons, said: “The Port of Dover was looking for a strategic partner that could deliver a range of consultancy and technology services. The port has ambitious plans for growth and needed to engage with a partner who could grasp its business objectives and deliver relevant technology solutions with a pragmatic approach.”
The Port of Dover is one of the busiest ro-ro ferry ports in the UK and serves around 13m passengers and over 4.7m vehicles a year.
