Italy debates relationship of ports with the state

The government of Italy has approved an outline plan to reform the constitution that refers to the relationship between the Italian state and the regions.

The aim is to introduce a law that recognises that both domestic and internationally-orientated maritime ports fall wholly within the competence of the state and therefore should remain state-owned.
