Assoporti urges EU to think again over concessions
The Italian Association of Port Authorities (Assoporti) has urged the government to debate the length of port terminal concessions with the European Union.
According to the organisation, the EU wants to reduce the length of these concessions, which Assoporti believes would put off potential investors.
It points out that many concessionaires throughout Europe are the mid-point of their concessions and that any doubt introduced into the system might result in investment reduction.
