NSW given privatisation go-ahead
Legislation to privatise the New South Wales ports of Port Botany and Port Kembla was passed by the NSW Legislative Council before Christmas.
The Port Assets (Authorised Transactions) Bill 2012 will legally authorise the lease of both ports to private investors for 99 years.
