New Kalmar products

The fifth G-generation reachstackers offer customers a wider choice, adding four extra models to the container handling range and three extra models for intermodal handling.

Developed with key areas of safety and ergonomics in mind, they feature a reverse warning and personal proximity aid system and a cabin built on the latest ergonomic design, offering over 90% all round visibility, even in the worst weather conditions.

Gloria’s electronics feature a redundant CAN bus control system, which automatically locates and corrects all failures in the CAN bus operation.

With a total lifting capacity of 45 tonnes to six high (five on the intermodal), the new reachstackers also feature a side tilting steering wheel and specially designed joystick control, making it operator friendly by reducing fatigue, improving manoeuvrability and productivity.

Kalmar says its new forklift truck is the latest in the series of light range of five to nine tonne capacity machines and is the first to be equipped with an SCR traction control system. Along with the new 77kW and 85kW Agco engines, they combine to reduce fuel consumption and meet the latest EY (Stage IIIB, Tier4i) emission regulations.

In a bid to enhance flexibility, productivity and cost efficiency for customer operations, the company’s new Kalmar Care package includes four different contract types and cover everything from day to day support to meeting entire servicing and maintenance needs.

The four contract levels are:

· Kalmar Support Care – supporting the customer with on demand maintenance services

· Kalmar Essential Care – planned maintenance tasks

· Kalmar Complete Care – meets customers full maintenance requirements

· Kalmar Optimal Care – provides a complete asset management solution
