Italian unions call for strike action
In Italy, trade unions have called a 24-hour strike to take place tomorrow amid criticisms of a slow moving contract renewal for port workers.
In addition, the unions claim that the set up of the current port system is making negotiations more difficult.
Among the many problems that need debating, unions point to the unreasonable extension of terms and conditions relating to civil servants to employees of port authorities.
