Konecranes RTGs for Guatemala
Konecranes is to deliver five rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes for Grup TCB-owned Terminal de Contendores Quetzal SA (TCQ) in Guatemala.
The 16-wheel RTGs have a lifting capacity of 40 tonnes and can stack one-over-five containers high, and seven plus truck lane wide. They will be diesel-powered and equipped with advanced Konecranes’ Fuel Saver Technology. They will also feature Konecranes’ Active Load Control technology.
“We are excited about this first order to TCQ and Guatemala,” said Kim Salvén, sales director, Europe, Konecranes. “These Konecranes RTGs will offer top productivity and reliability as soon as this new facility goes online.”
Konecranes’ Truconnect Remote Diagnostics and technical support will be included, offering the customer information on the cranes’ real usage and enables the customer to optimise the timing of maintenance to reduce crane downtime.
Delivery is scheduled for 2015.
