Lomé returns to Konecranes eRTGs
Lomé Container Terminal in Togo has awarded Konecranes with an order for 10 RTGs, identical to 12 that were delivered in 2014. Delivery of the busbar-powered all-electric units is scheduled for end-2015 and 2016.
The RTGs have a lifting capacity of 40 tons stacking 1-over-6 containers high and 7 plus truck lane wide. They are equipped with Konecranes’ new smarter cabin which claims to improve ergonomics, visibility and safety.
Other Konecranes technological features include Autosteering, a driver aid that keeps the crane on a pre-programmed, straight path, and a TOS-connected Container Positioning system.
