Konecranes marks Polish first
Konecranes has won an order for 15 all-electric rubber-tyred gantry cranes from DCT Gdansk, marking the manufacturer’s first RTG delivery to Poland.
The cranes – due to be delivered in the second half of 2016 – are described as high-performance, 16-wheel RTGs with a lifting capacity of 40.6 tons, a stacking height of 1-over-5, and a stacking width of 7 plus truck lane wide.
The crane specialist has also logged an order for nine RTGs from the Port of Houston Authority.
When completed in mid-2016, the RTGs will be destined for Bayport Container Terminal. Once in place, these cranes will take the number of Konecranes RTGs at the facility to 69.
