Navis N4 to optimise Latvian operations

Navis says the implementation of N4 will enable BCT to optimise its operations, improving service to existing customers, and will play a critical role in preparing the terminal for expected growth and evolving industry challenges.

BCT, which is owned by Mariner Capital Limited based in Malta, is well positioned in the Baltic region to serve as a gateway to meet container traffic demand to and from the main industrial centres of the Russian hinterland and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

Spread across 57 hectares over the island of Kundzinsala, BCT currently handles 275,000 teu per year and the terminal is expected to grow by approximately 10% a year over the next five years.
