It’s just a year since the world’s first true ‘Hybrid’ tug entered service with Foss Maritime in the USA. This important milestone created considerable interest in the towage industry and occurred at a time when the industry was experiencing a period of almost frantic growth in the numbers of new tugs under construction for use in the shiphandling and the offshore markets.
