Third quarter growth for Bromma
Sales for Sweden-based spreader manufacturer Bromma grew by 13% in the third quarter of 2016 compared with sales in the previous year, revealed the company’s July to October order intake.
Bromma’s marketing director Lars Meurling said: “When looking at our order list over the last couple of months, it is interesting to note that there is a significant share of separating twin spreaders. This used to be the case but, after the financial downturn in 2008, the single lift spreaders for yard handling have been the norm.”
Indeed, three larger orders for separating twin-lift yard spreaders are among the orders received by Bromma in the third quarter.
Bromma also experienced a stronger interest in its automated twistlock handling solutions. The company noted that as the first automatic lashing platform is being installed and commissioned at VICT in Melbourne, the interest from the industry is high and concrete discussions with several terminal operators are ongoing.
