Keynote speaker confirmed for P&E Conference
Arsenio A Dominguez, vice chairman of the IMO’s Marine Environment Protection Committee, has been confirmed as the keynote speaker for Mercator Media’s ‘Propulsion & Emissions Conference’.
Mr Dominguez, a naval architect and chairman of IMO’s Maritime Safety Committee (MSC) Working Group on Maritime Security and Piracy, will speak at the conference, addressing issues on regulatory issues and technological solutions.
Jacob Buus Petersen, director of vessel performance for ABS and Lars Robert Pedersen, deputy secretary general of BIMCO have also confirmed their participation as co-chairs for the conference, which will be entitled “Are you ready for 2015 and beyond?”
This year’s conference, which will be held on 24-25 April 2013 at the Hilton Copenhagen Airport Hotel in Denmark, will focus on the ECA regulations, including SEEMP and EEDI and will look at the financial benefits of complying with the 2015 legislation.
The 2013 programme, which is put together with the guidance of an advisory board of key industry stakeholders, is due to be released shortly.
