Konecranes wins order from Virginia
Konecranes and Virginia Port Authority have signed a contract for the delivery of four Rail Mounted Gantry (RMG) cranes.
This follows the signing of contracts between the two companies for the delivery of 86 Automated Stacking Cranes, which took place in November 2016.
The new RMGs will be delivered to Virginia International Gateway as part of its expansion. The first two cranes are scheduled for delivery in spring 2018. The last two will be delivered in early 2019.
They will be used to load and unload trains and terminal trucks with containers in VIG’s intermodal yard.
