Konecranes wins BOXHUNTER order
Konecranes has signed an agreement to supply the Gold Bond Group (Conterm) with two BOXHUNTER rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes for Conterm’s Ashdod logistics centre.
The RTGs on order will stack one-over-six containers high and seven containers wide plus truck lane, and will have a lifting capacity of 40.6 tonnes. They will also be fully electric, driven by a cable reel system.
The RTGs are expected to be a positive addition to the centre, given their flexibility with loading trucks and trains while providing a mix of short and long-term logistics services to a variety of customers.
Delivery is expected at the end of 2017.
