Paul Meyer

Paul has over 18 years experience in the environmental field , concentrating on port environmental and sustainability issues over the past 10 years. He currently works as the Port of Seattle’s Senior Manager for Environment and Sustainability. Before joining the Port , he was a regulator for King County. Prior to working on environmental issues, 15 years was spent exploring for metals as a geologist for major mining companies throughout North and Central America.

He is responsible for managing Maritime Sustainability efforts with focus on finding economically viable solutions to reducing greenhouse gases, acquiring permits and authorizations for capital development projects and managing regulatory compliance for maritime operations. Paul is a participant in the AAPA environmental committee and local geologic organizations. When not at work, he hikes, bikes and skis.
