Chris Corrale

Ms. Correale serves as Director, Harbor Development for the Maryland Port Administration. She is responsible providing safe and efficient ship transit by maintaining and improving the waterside infrastructure of the Port of Baltimore in partnership with the US Army Corps of Engineers and through Maryland’s Dredged Material Management Program (DMMP). The DMMP ensures adequate dredged material management options including dredged material containment facilities and innovative and beneficial uses of dredged material. She is also responsible for developing and maintaining an extensive outreach program to local communities, government agencies and maritime interests to ensure that dredging and dredged material management are sustainable for the Port, communities, the environment and the future.

Ms. Correale previously worked in private industry as a Principal of the EcoLogix Group, Inc., Parkton, MD, primarily supporting the Port of Baltimore.

She spent 30-plus years with the US Army Corps of Engineers, including Baltimore District assignments as Chief, Operations Division, a temporary stint as Acting Deputy District Engineer for Civil Works, and as Chief of the Hazardous, Toxic and Radioactive Waste Branch. She was also assigned to the US Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District as Chief, Environmental Resources Branch.

Ms. Correale holds a Master of Science in Environmental Sciences and Engineering from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, N.C., and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry, from Catawba College, Salisbury, N.C.

She is a member and fellow of the Society of American Military Engineers and a member of the American Chemical Society.
