Lena DeSantis

Lena DeSantis began her career at the Port of Los Angeles where she led the group responsible for environmental project reviews and permitting. Ms. DeSantis was awarded the Career Service Award- the highest civilian award in the City of Los Angeles- for her role in managing the TraPac Terminal Development Environmental Impact Assessment/Environmental Impact Report (EIS/EIR). At the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Ms. DeSantis managed the Port’s Sustainability Program. In both positions, Ms. DeSantis worked with numerous federal and state agencies on regional land use and adaptation focused task forces, and with the public to promote sustainable initiatives. Ms. DeSantis has Master’s degrees in Environmental Health from the University of California at Los Angeles and completed her undergraduate work in Biology at Wesleyan University. She is currently a Managing Planner with Anchor QEA, LLC, a national environmental engineering consulting firm.
