Mr. Talib Horne, Executive Director, Bon Secours Community Works, joined the organization in February 2015. He is responsible for setting strategic direction, fiscal management, staff development, coordinating local system activities around community development, and building city partnerships. Before coming on board with Bon Secours, Mr. Horne was Vice President of Community and Economic Development with Living Classrooms in Baltimore for nine years. He was responsible for a 10 year, 50 million-dollar initiative in East Baltimore that included the completion of several capital projects, education and workforce development programs serving Baltimore’s children and youth. He also served as Executive Director of the East Harbor Development Corporation. Mr. Horne holds an M.A. in Community Economic Development from Southern New Hampshire University School of Business and a B.S. in Economics/Political Science from St. Mary’s College, Maryland, and has studied at Oxford University. He attributes much of his commitment to helping those in need to spending most of his formative years growing up in West and Southern Africa. He is a member of New Psalmist Baptist Church where he serves as Chairman of their Community Development Corporation
