WHAT TO EXPECT FROM GREEN PORTS & SHIPPING CONGRESS?
The inaugural Green Ports & Shipping Congress is the first conference to identify and prioritise the areas that ports-based organisations and shipping companies need to work together for their mutual advantage to reducing emissions.
Caring for the environment by reducing emissions is a priority for all our businesses. The ports and terminals communities are served by a number of organisations and events with this specific agenda, so too are the shipping communities. But practically, neither group can achieve their objectives without working together and with the direct co-operation of the other.
The conference promotes collaboration and debate on the challenges and opportunities affecting the industry, whilst enabling conference delegates and participants to establish and build on relationships through the networking opportunities on offer. It is a place for industry professionals to meet and discuss all aspects of energy transition plans and implementation as they affect port operations and ships as well discuss the required infrastructure, alternative fuel options/bunkering, the technical solutions and how these align with the shipping lines and logistics chains.
It is a must attend event for those involved in Ports and Shipping including policy makers, ports and terminal operators, shipping companies, shippers and logistics companies, fuel & propulsion providers, classification societies and associated decarbonisation clusters.
Mercator Media Limited is fortunate to have a unique insight into the requirements of both the Port and Shipping sector, having produced 18 annual GreenPort Congress’s in co-operation with the leading ports in Europe, this year branching out to Australia. We have also produced 44 annual Propulsion & Future Fuels conferences. These events are supported by our sector specific, knowledge-based magazines and websites Port Strategy, GreenPort and The Motorship.
