Transas has installed an AIS Network System at Koper, comprised of a hot-standby configuration Transas AIS Base Station 13km from Koper Port, plus an Operator workstation at the Port Control Office 2 km from the port. This provides remote advanced control and diagnostics to the AIS Base station, as well as the ability to distribute and exchange the AIS data with near-by port authorities in Italy and Croatia. The newly installed system covers the whole Slovenian coastline.
