Dual-Gas Stowcheck seeks and it finds
Continuing its work with organisations that need to check for people attempting to illegally cross borders, Gas Data has won the tender to provide gas detection instruments to the UKs Home Office.
“The feat marks the first time that a container has been successfully tracked intransit without any ‘blackouts’ associated with limited satellite or cellular network coverage, line-of-sight obstructions or reliance upon costly ground-based infrastructure, ” boasts ceo Vaibhav Malawade. The container was even tracked consistently when positioned in the centre of the bottom tier in a 9W x 5H container yard stack.
The hand-held Stowcheck monitor, which for several years has been HM Immigration’s standard instrument of choice, was recently enhanced by Gas Data to give higher performance levels. Now available as a two-channel, dual-gas system, the new Stowcheck Plus will be utilised as part of a coordinated effort by officials in the UK and in key parts of Europe where attempts to gain illegal entry into certain countries are prevalent.
